Alcohol and Antibiotics side effects when mixed

Posted on 20:32 by Unknown
Many individuals who take antibiotics to cure a certain ailment may be instructed to abstain from alcohol at that time. This is because antibiotics can sometimes cause severe side effects when mixed with alcohol. Antibiotics exist for the purpose of killing bacteria and inhibiting their growth within your body. Though there are many different kinds of this form of medication that can accomplish varying tasks within your body, they all exist for that main purpose.

If you are taking certain medications and have even one drink of alcohol, you may experience a feeling of intoxication, even if your blood alcohol content level (BAC) is less than.08%. In addition to feeling dizzy, you may also experience vomiting, headache and rapid heart rate. If you accidentally mixed alcohol and antibiotics and were subsequently charged with DUI, you may be able to fight against this charge under the law. With the help of an experienced attorney, you may be able to lessen your charge or eliminate it altogether.

The following antibiotics should not be mixed with alcohol:
Metronidazole (Flagyl),
Tinidazole (Tindamax)
Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (Bactrim)
Antibiotics that contain isoniazid

If you are charged with DUI, it can have severely profound consequences on the rest of your life. Not only could you face high-cost fines, license suspension and mandatory alcohol and drug classes, you could even be put in jail. In addition, DUIs can also impact your family financially if you are the breadwinner for your loved ones and are unable to work due to incarceration. If you have been charged with DUI, know that you have rights to legal representation and that you may be able to fight these charges against you
